Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether he has received reports on reasons for a British judge not being re-appointed to the International Court of Justice; and if he will make a statement.

The Government is conducting an examination of why the British judge, Sir Christopher Greenwood, was not re-elected to the ICJ. It would be premature to speculate further until that exercise is complete.
