The UK remains committed to supporting democratic institutions in West Africa. We work closely with the international community, including through multilateral forums and regional bodies, to support Guinea-Bissau to tackle issues related to security, governance and organised crime. The UK will continue to support the leading role that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) plays in promoting regional stability, including in Guinea-Bissau.
