Question to the Department for Business and Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what information her Department holds on the proportion of cars produced in the UK that were (a) electric hybrid and (b) fully electric in 2023.

The Department does not hold statistics on the proportion of cars produced in the UK that are fully electric or hybrid. As recently reported by SMMT, in 2023 UK production of battery electric (BEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and hybrid (HEV) vehicles increased to 346,451 units, up 48.0% on the year before to account for almost 38.3% of overall output.
