The Government is committed to improving the energy efficiency of homes. In July, the Chancellor announced over £2 billion of new funding to upgrade homes, including through the new Green Homes Grant scheme.

The Prime Minister’s Ten Point Plan set out further plans to make people’s homes warm and comfortable. This includes a further £1 billion next year and the extension of the Energy Company Obligation to continue making our buildings more efficient and cheaper to heat.

The Government is also using other policy levers, including regulation, to meet its ambition for warm homes.
