Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, if she will provide a breakdown of the £5 million budget allocated to the trial of home learning interventions in the north of England by (a) location and (b) type of intervention.

In October this year, we announced that we will use £5 million to trial evidence-based home learning environment support programmes in the north of England, focusing on early language and literacy. Further details of the process for selecting trial areas and interventions will be available shortly.
