Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what progress the Government is making on implementing the Soft Drinks Industry Levy.

Following public consultation in 2016, primary legislation for the Soft Drinks Industry Levy was passed earlier this year as part of the Finance Act 2017.
In October 2017 the government launched an 8 week public technical consultation on the secondary regulations, which closed on 8 December 2017. The secondary regulations will be laid early in the New Year, ahead of the levy coming into force, as planned, in April 2018.
