Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, how many assets are classified at which level of risk by the Government Security Classifications system.

Departments assess their information assets against the Government Security Classification Policy and classify them appropriately. The number of assets and their classification constantly changes in a dynamic way and there is no requirement for assets to be recorded on this basis either departmentally or centrally. However, departments do risk assess their most sensitive information (which can be held at all security classifications).
