Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many vessels on the UK Ship Register are (a) beneficially owned and (b) managed outside the UK.

As of 8 December 2017, there are (a) 483 vessels on the UK Ship Register that are beneficially owned outside of the UK; and (b) 181 vessels on the UK Ship Register which are managed outside of the UK.
