Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to the Answers of 4 December 2017 to Question 115274 and 2 December 2016 to Question 55490, what progress she has made on the implementation of her policy to include mothers' names on marriage certificates since 2 December 2016.

The Home Office continues to work with all interested parties to develop the options that will allow mothers’ names to be recorded on marriage certificates as soon as practicable.
As soon as there is an opportunity to legislate a timetable for implementation will be made available.
