Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to the Answer of 7 December to Question 116360, for what reason the Department has no plans to review patient transport guidance; and if he will make a statement

The provision of appropriate patient transport services is a matter for local National Health Service commissioners, who are best placed to make effective decisions about such services to meet the specific needs of their local populations. Accordingly, there are currently no plans to review patient transport service eligibility guidance.
