Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether he has plans to (a) coordinate an integrated bus strategy and (b) increase leadership for the bus sector.
This question was answered on 11th February 2022
In March 2021 we published England’s long-term National Bus Strategy, which promotes greater local leadership and collaboration between LTA’s and bus operators. Strong local plans, delivered through Enhanced Partnerships or franchising arrangements will deliver a step change in services that is needed.
