The Department engaged with over 200 stakeholders in every region in England to design the white paper, ‘People at the Heart of Care’. This included organisations representing ethnic minority communities, such as the Race Equality Foundation, which attends the Department’s Dementia Programme Board. With the support of the Health and Wellbeing Alliance, we have continued to engage with organisations representing ethnic minority communities in designing adult social care policy, including for people living with dementia.

We will set out plans for dementia in England for the next 10 years later this year. We continue to update the Equality Impact Assessment for this plan, in line with the Public Sector Equality Duty.
