Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps he is taking to help produce the next generation of vaccines to tackle transmission rates of covid-19.

The Government is working closely with vaccine developers to understand any plans for future vaccines and to ensure vaccines’ continued efficacy against new Variants of Concern. The Vaccine Taskforce keeps emerging vaccine technologies under review and is aware that some developers have begun development of variant-specific and multivariant formulations.
