Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if his Department will undertake an assessment of the compatibility of the Abortion Act 1967 with Article 3 of the UN Declaration on Human Rights.

The United Kingdom Government considers the Abortion Act 1967 to be compatible with Article 3 of the United Nation’s Declaration on Human Rights. The UN has recognised women’s rights to access safe legal abortion services.
