The British High Commission in New Delhi and British Deputy High Commission in Chandigarh are monitoring the situation in Joshimath, India. Our thoughts are with all those affected.

The UK and India are partners supporting the achievement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, including through our membership of the Coalition for Disaster-Resilient Infrastructure. This will help improve the quality and resilience of infrastructure in fragile states such as Uttarakhand.
