Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many individuals received Support for Mortgage Interest in each of the last five years.

Support for Mortgage Interest (SMI) expenditure and caseload estimates are provided in DWP Benefit expenditure and caseload tables. The table below shows the estimated SMI caseload in the last 5 years:
