Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will (a) withdraw or (b) extend the requirement for local authorities to have up-to-date Local Plans in place by December 2023.

The government's current consultation: 'The Levelling-up and Regeneration Bill: reforms to national planning policy' sets out the proposed timeline for transitioning to the new system of plan making, which we expect to go live in late 2024.
