Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, when he last met his Portuguese counterpart; and what issues were discussed at that meeting.

I spoke with my Portuguese counterpart, Portugal’s Secretary of State for European Affairs Ana Paula Zacarias, on 14 August 2017. I welcomed Zacarias to her new role and we discussed the UK’s exit from the EU, our bilateral relationship and foreign policy issues of common interest.
