This government recognises the importance of tackling wildlife crime and is providing £136,000 in 2021/22 to the National Wildlife Crime Unit to support our efforts to tackle wildlife crime.

Further information on the illegal wildlife trade and its links to serious organised crime in the UK can be found in the National Strategic Assessment published by the NCA on 25 May 2021 and the third National Risk Assessment, produced on 18 December 2020.
