Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many IS.96 notices have been incorrectly sent to individuals who have not had their applications for leave to remain refused in each of the last five years.
The number of IS.96 notices sent in error, and average timescale taken to contact those issued incorrectly, are not recorded in a way which can be reported on without breaching the disproportionate cost threshold.
If an applicant is unhappy with parts or all of the immigration process there is a complaints procedure which is available on the Home Office web site
