Cycling and Walking: York

Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether he has plans to make York a centre of excellence for walking and cycling in response to the Government's announcement that Active Travel England's headquarters will be located in York.
This question was answered on 21st February 2022
Active Travel England will work closely with local transport authorities across England to deliver high quality, fully accessible walking and cycling infrastructure which works for everyone. The Department has no current plans to designate any particular cities as centres of excellence for walking and cycling.
