Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what estimate his Department has made of the cost to the public purse of replacing Carillion contracts.

Our top priority is to keep public services running. We have carried out extensive scenario planning, and expect all vital public services to run as normal. Government will provide funding for public services to enable them to continue in the immediate future and to enable some of them to be run by new suppliers.
