The Government Equalities Office has seen the report and is considering its findings. The report makes an important contribution to the evidence base on transgender equality.

We will assess the report in conjunction with the findings from the National LGBT survey, which received over 100,000 responses.

This Government is committed to advancing transgender equality. As part of this, we will soon be bringing forward a consultation on amending the Gender Recognition Act in order to make the legal recognition process less bureaucratic and intrusive for trans people.
