The supply of E10 is one option open to suppliers in meeting targets under the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO). The level of targets under the RTFO will rise from April, subject to Parliamentary approval of the amending statutory instrument laid in Parliament on 15 January. These amendments do not impose a requirement that suppliers must introduce E10. However, the cost benefit analysis accompanying the RTFO legislative proposals include our assessment of the effects of different levels of E10 that may be supplied to meet the targets.
