Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what plans he has to respond to the 13th Programme of Law Reform proposed by the Law Commission.

The Law Commission’s 13^th Programme of Law Reform was approved for publication by the Secretary of State for Justice in December 2017. The Department retains an effective working relationship with the Commission through regular meetings between officials and Ministers. New funding and operating arrangements were jointly agreed in 2020 to ensure the organisation continues to deliver law reform to a high quality that meets the needs of Government, the economy and society.
