Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he has made representations to his Chinese counterpart on behalf of the detained Christian lawyer and journalist Zhang Zhan.

We are concerned by Zhang Zhan's case, and will continue to follow it closely. A free press and the free flow of information are vital for good governance. We have consistently raised our concerns about media freedoms in China and will continue to do so
