The proposals outlined on 6 December 2022 in WMS HCWS415 made by my Rt. Hon. Friend, the Secretary of State, are subject to ongoing consultation.

The emerging City of York local plan remains at examination with stage 4 hearings having been concluded in September 2022. The inspectors are independent of Government, but it is expected that, subject to approval by the Council's Executive, a consultation on the proposed Main Modifications to the draft plan will take place from February.
