Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what proportion of the Adult Social Care Workforce Recruitment and Retention Fund has been distributed to residential specialist colleges registered as care homes.

The information requested is not held centrally. Following the closure of the Fund, the Department will undertake an evaluation of the activities and spend conducted. As per the grant conditions for the Workforce Recruitment and Retention Fund, local authorities should ensure that funding is allocated to a provider that is registered with the Care Quality Commission. Local authorities are best placed to make decisions around how funds should be spent within the area.
