Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what budgets his Department will reduce in order fund the provision of limited ongoing free testing for covid-19 after 1 April 2022.

The Government expects to fund the cost of living with COVID-19 from within the Department’s existing budgets. The Department is currently in the process of reviewing its plans and considering how best to reallocate those resources. Detailed spending plans and allocations in 2022/23 will be subject to a financial planning and prioritisation exercise and finalised in due course.
