Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, on what basis he made the decision not to provide free symptomatic testing for covid-19 for NHS staff after 1 April 2022.

From 1 April 2022, free universal asymptomatic and symptomatic testing for the general public in England will end. We will provide free testing to a number of at risk groups. Further details on eligible groups will be available in due course.
