Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, how many entities received relief from corporation tax on research and development credits in (a) 2015-16, (b) 2016-17 and (c) 2017-18.
This question was answered on 20th February 2018
HMRC publishes reports on the number of companies claiming Corporation Tax relief on Research and Development. Information for the period 2015-16 can be found in Table RD1 here:

Information for the period 2016-17 will be published in Autumn 2018 whilst information for 2017-18 will not be available until 2019.
