Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many state school teachers in England do not have Qualified Teacher Status.

There are 28,000 (headcount) and 24,000 (full-time equivalent) teachers without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 475,900 (headcount) and 433,200 (full-time equivalent) with QTS in service in state funded schools in England, November 2016.
