The Government will ask the Low Pay Commission to produce advice in October 2018 on the impacts of the proposal to offer a premium over and above the National Minimum Wage to workers on contracts with variable hours. This commitment is made in the Government’s response to the Taylor Review, and a formal commission will be issued to the Low Pay Commission shortly.
