Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what assessment he has made of the number of self-employed people who earn below the national living wage in (a) the North West and (b) Liverpool Walton constituency.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has not made an estimate of the number of self-employed people earning below the National Living Wage. The legal entitlement to receive the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage does not apply to the self-employed.
