Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, if he will ask the Pensions Regulator to extend negotiations on the universities superannuation scheme.

Any changes which might be made to this scheme are a matter for the Joint Negotiation Committee of the scheme, not the Government. The independent Pensions Regulator remains in ongoing discussions with USS’s stakeholders.
