Licences have been granted to Indivior UK Limited for Suboxone and Subutex sublingual tablets, for the treatment of opioid addiction. Suboxone sublingual tablets were approved through the European centralised route and Subutex sublingual tablets as United Kingdom national licences.

There have been no applications made by Braeburn to licence drugs to treat addiction.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is aware that other companies have made licence application submissions to the European Medicines Agency for products for the treatment of addiction but details of the products are not yet in the public domain.
