Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, whether his Department plans to review the cost and supply of wood pellets in relation to Renewable Heat Incentive tariffs.
This question was answered on 27th February 2018
We do not currently plan to review biomass tariffs on the Renewable Heat Incentive. Compensation for running cost differences is only one part of RHI tariffs when compared with the compensation for high up-front costs of renewable systems.
