Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of how the use of technology in the health and social care sectors will improve patient outcomes.
We are aiming for 90% of trusts in England to have Electronic Patient Records by December 2023 and 80% of social care providers to have a Digital Social Care Record by March 2024. Digitally mature providers operate with approximately 10% improved efficiency, enabling clinicians to deliver better and safer care for patients such as remote support and targeted population health interventions.
