The Department for Transport (DfT) does not routinely report or assess the miles of road per capita (population) or miles of road per driver for the UK or other countries.

The European Commission publishes data on road lengths, population and stock of registered passenger cars for the 28 countries in the EU as well as countries in the European Free Trade Association and candidate countries. International data on drivers are not published alongside this. The data can be accessed via the following link: http://ec.europa.eu/transport/facts-fundings/statistics/doc/2015/pocketbook2015.pdf.

These represent the latest data year available for international comparison. However, DFT have published 2014 statistics for road length in Great Britain and 2014 annual passenger cars data for Great Britain and the UK.
