Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what changes the NHS is making to (a) the management of CIN 2 cervical cell changes and (b) other aspects of colposcopy and programme management.

The National Health Service Cervical Screening Programme (NHS CSP) published its programme and colposcopy management guidance on 5 February 2020. This can be viewed at the following link:

This includes guidance on policy, management and referral for colposcopy, providing a quality colposcopy clinic as well as colposcopic diagnosis treatment and follow up. In addition, there is a new section on conservative management for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN 2) cell changes and other aspects of colposcopy and programme management.
