Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what the value was of the state pension as a percentage of average earnings in each of the last 15 years.

The Department for Work and Pensions annually publishes statistics on benefits and earnings information in the Abstract of Statistics publication on the gov.uk website. The latest release is the Abstract of Statistics 2017 which can be found at the following URL and contains the information that you require in table 2.1a.
