Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will make an assessment of the potential impact of providing audio visual notifications on buses on disabled people.

In 2018 we launched the Accessible Information consultation to understand the impact of proposals for mandating the provision of route and destination announcements onboard local bus services in Great Britain.
In the 2021 National Bus Strategy the Department committed to introducing Accessible Information Regulations, and we are currently finalising our response to the consultation, ahead of making the Regulations later this year.
