Paternity Leave

Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, whether his Department has any plans to extend paid paternity leave.
This question was answered on 1st March 2018
The Government does not currently have any plans to extend the period of paid Paternity Leave.
As part of the evaluation of Shared Parental Leave and Pay we are collecting information on the take up of paternity benefits, including survey data on the take up of paternity leave and pay, which will inform the development of policy in this area.
