Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many and what proportion of people in the (a) 16-24 and (b) 65 and over age bands were living in relative poverty in each of the last 10 years.
National statistics on the number of individuals in relative low income, by age bracket, are set out in the annual "Households Below Average Income" publication.
