Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of expanding the Test and Trace Support Payment to workers on all income levels.
The Test and Trace Support Payment has been introduced to help ensure that people on low incomes self-isolate when they test positive or are identified as a contact, and to encourage more people to get tested. Departmental officials are working closely with all 314 local authorities in England, who administer the scheme, to monitor its impact and assess its effectiveness.
