The latest official data available from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows that there are currently 823,000 vacancies in the UK, a record number. However, the ONS does not publish vacancies data at a regional or sub-regional level. This means it is not possible to calculate the ratio of registered job seekers per vacancy in the geographic areas requested.
