Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what percentage of workers employed directly by her Department belonged to a trade union in each of the last five years for which data is available.

The check off facility for the deduction of trade union subscriptions from departmental employees pay ended 30 April 2015. An accurate figure for the percentage of employees who are trade union members for the period requested is not held by the Department.
