Haematological cancer patients are able to access psychosocial mental health services provided for the wider group of cancer patients, usually in cancer centres, which provide multi-disciplinary psychological assessment and support as part of the cancer team. This support is offered from the point of diagnosis and in addition to trained members of the multi-disciplinary team, specialist support may be provided by a clinical psychologist or liaison psychiatrist.
