Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will make an estimate of the number and proportion of eligible people under the age of 30 who have received a third covid-19 vaccine in the latest period for which data is available.
We do not hold the information in the format requested. Such information as is available is in the following table.
Requested | Provided for England Age | Number in cohort | Number vaccinated with at least three doses | Proportion |
People Under 30 who have received a third covid-19 vaccine in the latest period (22 January 2023) | 25 - Under 30 | 4,391,112 | 1,832,421 | 41.7% |
20 - Under 25 | 3,824,364 | 1,558,965 | 40.8%
18 - Under 20 | 1,394,175 | 422,736 | 30.3%
16 - Under 18 | 1,405,776 | 181,823 | 12.9%
Total | 11,015,427 | 3,995,945 | 36.3% |
By 22 January 2023, 36.3% (3,995,945 out of 11,015,427) of all people currently aged between 16 and 30 years old and resident in England had been vaccinated with at least three doses of vaccine.
By 22 January 2023, the total number of people aged between five and 29 years old living and resident who have been vaccinated with at least three doses was 4,046,676. We are unable to provide the proportion for under-16s as the eligibility for three doses is not universal in this group and the data for all eligible groups is not held.
