The anti- knife crime Community Fund invited bids for funding in October 2017. Bids were assessed on the extent to which they demonstrated the following criteria:

  • Delivery of outcomes to tackle knife crime;
  • A proven track record of delivering local interventions;
  • Ability to work with children and young people;
  • Value for money; and
  • How they will work in partnership with other projects and services already being delivered in the local area.

The Community Fund received 368 bids and 47 were awarded funding. In total £765,000 was made available to support the successful bids in 2017/18.
